The CNC 220 E TB MR is a global pioneer in the field of tube processing – unparalleled in terms of size and performance. Our new product is the world’s biggest fully electric multiple-radius tube bending machine featuring transport boost technology. Even complex tube geometries can be produced in a quickexible, precise and ecient manner with this new and innovative machine. After a brief stop in Atlanta for the metal processing trade fair, Fabtech, our global pioneer will be delivered to the customer.

 

We initially developed the customised tube bending machine CNC 220 E TB MR for a US company from the automotive industry. The company had requested short cycle times and optimal bending quality for very small radii as well as a high level of precision and the utmosexibility. The end result was a machine that is unparalleled in terms of size and capacity, capable of bending a particularly large range of dierent tube and prole dimensions. In terms of tube diameter, the maximum bending capacity of this CNC 220 E TB MR is 8 inches. It is also capable of processing tube lengths of up to 40 feet. A vertically adjustable pressure die moves individually to the required bending plane, allowing the requisite bending forces to be optimally gauged in order to consistently apply the optimal contact pressure to the tubes to be bent. In combination with individually adjustable tools, the multilevel technology enables fast and precise tube forming, with very short lengths between bends.

 

Producing complex tube geometries

 

The machine also features the NxG control system, which contributes to the fast cycle times oered by the High Performance series. Users prot from a reduction in production time of up to 35 percent through time, travel stroke and speed optimisation. As with all our tube bending machines, the energy-efficient CNC 220 E TB MR is equipped with bend former retraction, thus allowing the bend former and swing arm to be operated separately. This enables users to produce very complex tube geometries while easily adjusting and positioning them during the bending process. Despite its large size and weight, the new machine does not require a specic foundation thanks to its sophisticated design.

 

Furthermore, our CNC 220 E TB MR is already well-prepared for future applications in the context of Industry 4.0. For example, the machine is equipped with our intelligent remote maintenance software.
